During the summer
not only are my kids on vacation
but my muse as well.
Four kids, sand, volumous piles of laundry
and beach gear combine
into a solid brick wall of
Things get sweaty and sticky fast
and tend to stay that way.
I think that apple is still in my car.....
crossed my path and mentioned
I hopped on Amazon and bought it.
When it came I could smell the inspiration
out of the box -
like a new doll at Christmas.
It was fresh, pink and had good hair!
Originally I intended to follow the book religiously
Of course as one who doesn't like to follow directions
that went out the window really fast.
Flip and burn it was.
So I flipped to one of the earliest pages
and found the prompt on
rubber stamps, folk art and air dry clay.
This did prompt me to turn to my
secret stash of polymer clay.
I admire all those artists that can take it
and transform it into something else
like a bead or a focal.
I really like this book
it offers endless possibilities and inspirations.
I hit a sort of road block early on with the first prompt
that encourages journaling.
I tried - I really did - but I am not
a journaling sort of gal.
A few pages later however
there was my inspiration!
It works like that
You may feel like having the chicken one day and
it offers you a tuna sandwich.
...and it's GOOD!
