This must have been a rare moment
there wasn't any wind.
Holly and I spent most of the day
looking like we were riding the subway
holding the tent down!

My side!
and
Ms Holly's side!
( That's her fantastic - and very heavy- dress form)
(she held down that corner of the tent)

Holly ended up taping all of her displays
to the table as the wind was just brutal
and blowing everything off the tables.

I made the two last minute displays
( one flat on the table -
the other in the back)
to go all vertical since we each had one table
we wanted to use all the space we could.
Unfortunately the wind does not like
vertical displays so we had to improvise.

I ended up laying it down and not using
my other small necklace busts.
In case you don't know they are VERY aerodynamic!!!
Even the very large frame was taped to the tent leg.

I used the glass case for sterling which worked
very well.
This display only went over once
so I am guessing these are not so aerodynamic.
(I am really loving the pointing hand on the table cloth!
Someone on Facebook said it's like God's gave his seal of approval, "I would wear those!)
Hahahahahahaha

I made this the night before and I was glad
I didn't attach it to the easel because it
was VERY aerodynamic!
It's good to have flexibility and the pins
kept them from blowing off the table!
People bought more off this flat display.
I think it was easier to see and people like to touch things.
I have 2 more of these I am going to redo for my next show.
I covered a piece of foam core with paper
and shoved it inside a wine crate.
Worked like a charm!

I flipped it over and used it this way.
There were quite a few bird lovers!
It's a good theme.

So what did I learn?
1. Tape, scissors, rope, wipes and ribbon saved the day!
2. Customers love free candy...a lot
3. It's great to work with a like minded
individual - whatever I didn't have Holly did -
and vice versa.
4. Even though I like my displays they really need to be more
streamlined and easier to pack and carry - especially
if I am working alone and don't want to go back and forth.
5. It would have been very hard to do a windy show alone.
A. I would never have gotten to pee.
B. I would have never been able to let go of the tent!
6. Make sure there is FOOD where ever you are
going! Who knew they weren't allowed to sell food?
Thank goodness for visiting friends
who ran to the coffee shop for us.

All in all it was a good day for both of us.
I think we complement each other
and it was probably 50/50 business for both of us.
I'll be listing new items in my Etsy shop this week!
Don't forget today is the last day to
enter my double giveaway
