If you are following my upcycling journey
here is my $25.00 tag sale desk.
Using the obvious I upcycled the actual desk into
.... a new desk for me.
Which left me with the hutch.
I challenged myself to use as
much of this as possible.
The top of this hutch went to complete
a storage hutch in my craft room.
Say hello to my new crown moulding!
Using just a little spray paint
( my favorite condiment)
I finally got a top with moulding to
complete this melange
of my old kitchen island
and three cheap bookcases.
I still had the guts of the hutch left
and certainly don't want to put them to waste.
Next I took the sides with the
bit of moulding on them.
They sit at a great angle off the table
so I thought I would use them
for jewelry display.
I spray painted then used spray adhesive to
attach some fabric.
To have a nice finished edge
I used the tacks ( $1.99 from JoAnn's).
Now I have 2 more new displays for my table!
Now I need to make more jewelry!!!
Here is the back view with the moulding.
I'm the only one who will see it
but it has a nice finished look to it.
Front has tacks.
I also put to in either corner
on the underside so it sits
off the table.
I still have parts left!
I am thinking more display items.....
best $25.00 I ever spent!
If you are here because of
I am thrilled to be included
in their jewelry storage post!
What are you recycling?
