So let's take a new look at boxes!
They are all over the place and
don't always look like they would be
very decorative -
but you can make them work for you!
The two largest were wine crates
they've been banging around my house for a
while - but one hit of Dark Brown Rustoluem
makes them the same tone.
They now provide me with a back drop.
I used about $1.00 worth of foam board,
a glue stick ( wet glue will make the board warp),
and one of my many free books.
This gives me a nice nuetral ( and cheap)
background to work with.
You could pick anything you like -
wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, maps -
whatever works for you!
I cut the board to fit, wrapped it with paper,
and used pins to secure it.
You can used these anyway you want.
I took my small trunk and lined it with
some foam board for display.
I added some cup hooks and a dowel
to throw some matching earrings.
I am hoping it makes people want to look around
like they are at a fun flea market!
These displays give me variety and height
and hopefully a little vintage style mojo.
What are you using your boxes for?
Does this give you any ideas?
I'd love to hear about it.
I'll be rejuvenating this box later in the week!
