I was lucky enough to receive
one of these ceramic buttons from
Mellisa of
My first impression was of
something beachy
( maybe I imagined an impression from an old pirate coin?)
...and of course the color was to die for.
I thought of things you would collect
along the beach
beach glass, starfish and sand dollar.
I thought of the bubbles on the beach
and small flowers in the grass.
I used some pretty turquoise sari silk
that just happened to be the perfect match.
Many thanks to Mellisa for her
lovely ceramics!

Sooo pretty. Just looking at it makes me feel like I'm walking on a sandy beach, watching the waves as they kiss the shore.
