The most talented Mellisa from
sent me two beautiful clay charms.
My original inspiration was some
jasper and amazonite.
The first was this butterfly
which by chance went really well with some sari silk
I just won!
I changed up everything!
I chose some contrasting glazed beads
in a blue green and made my own chain of
bright copper.
I wanted more texture so I threw in some
copper ox chain too.
A few Czech glass rondels
and it was done.
On to piece number two!
The second charm was a sweet flower
with a pretty patinaed sort of glaze.
I thought it would be nice to have a
sort of fall garden set and used it for a
matching bracelet.
I threw in a few different elements
but I think they look well together.
This looks fantastic with jeans!
I loved these focals!!!
They were easy and fun to work with
and I think I'm keeping this set for myself!

I love the rich colors and textures in your designs! Did you etch the ring yourself? It really looks good with the butterfly. I'll be checking out Chinook Jewelry!

You had some lovely inspiration pieces to help spark your amazing creativity. Both necklace and bracelet are impeccably beautiful ... as always. :)
I do love the chains that you use, they are substantial and of very nice quality. I recently purchased some chains and was disappointed as they are flimsy and too lightweight. :( What's really amazing is that we are now buying copper, brass and base metal chains and paying the same price that we used to spend on sterling silver chains. BIG FROWNIE FACE !!! :(
