I immediately thought of this
waterlily pendant I had made
awhile back and never used.
I gave it a rusty patina as if it had been outside.
I then thought of one of my favorite
carved flowers and pulled out a carnelian lotus.
What's more Zen then that?
The Lotus symbolizes life, truth and
purity of heart and mind.
I thought of cool running water
and picked out an Indian Sapphire Swarovski
and some aquamarine roundels.
Their teal blue green makes me feel very peaceful.
For good measure I added another
carved lotus bead and a tiny bee charm.
and then I was done.....
it was about 1:00am this morning.

I'm off to have more coffee.
How's your Monday looking?
What makes you feel Zen?
XOXO, Patty

Very nice! I'm not feeling very Zen this morning, so I'm happy to see this lovely piece. :D

Beautiful piece Patty! I like the pendant and the patina you gave it. I'm feeling very zen in my quiet house today (although missing Shylee).

You make me feel SO jealous! Not ZEN at all ! I was so swamped thurs, Fri, Sat getting things pulled together for the color presentation; then I literally crashed late Friday and most of Sunday. This morning I had to run business errands, and now I can't find all the pieces parts I had packed together for my entry!!! :(
This week's prize is SO good I really wanted a crack at it!
Your piece is beautiful as always, btw!

That is pretty! Very peacefully zen!
If you lived in the south you could just leave it outside to get that rusty look patina lol.

So tired and stressed I didn't get the day right. It was late SAT. It is now after 4:30. I had to cut a bunch of checks that needed to post today, I still haven't found my lovely beach stones from lake Michigan, and I can't imagine getting the forging done and the pieces together at a decent hour. And then I have to drive to my daughter-in- law's for her to photograph them and help me post the picture.
I've decided to be generous and give YOU better odds at winning! So much for my His ZEN hers set!!!

Wow ! You do have a way with translating nature into a gorgeous piece of jewelry. I love your thought process in creating this lovely bracelet. The tranquil Zen quality of it is truly apparent ... though since you stayed up until 1:00 A.M. putting it together I'm sure you weren't feeling too Zen like when the sun came up that morning. "Hey mom, we're out of breakfast cereal. Mom, where's my ... and have you seen my ... "
"Yes sweeties, I'll get to it as soon as I have another pot of coffee!" :D
