After weeks of excitement it's time for the lovely Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog dreams to come true! Here is the original post if you'd like more information. The short version is 210 of us signed up with Lori to be assigned a partner to trade beads with. We would then make something from these beads and today is the reveal on 210 blogs!!!
My lovely partner is Hope from *Crafty Hope* who sent me that fantastic package of goodies up there.
I fell immediately in love with this focal and the beautiful clasp she made for me!
So here is what I made with my beads!
I started with this bracelet! Playing with the elements the bracelet worked itself out first. I found these Czech glass butterflies and had to add them in since they were the perfect color!
I mixed all the Czech glass Hope sent me in with some carnelian and thought of them like flowers in a garden. I named the entire set "Dragonfly Garden" (maybe because I'm dreaming of Spring too).
The earrings came together pretty quickley after that.
...of course matching the dragonfly theme!
I took the amazing focal Hope sent, wire-wrapped a bail and added a carnelian lotus, Czech glass and her little bell which I patina-ed.
I added another carnelian lotus to the clasp along with a Czech glass butterfly. I was really happy with the play of hot and cool colors.
...with each end done the center of the necklace filled in like a path of flowers.
Here are all of the blogs who have signed up for todays hop! Won't you join in and say "Hello!"?
