All this talk of Christmas shopping might be making you itchy and scratchy if you are trying to figure out how to stretch that almost non existent Christmas budget. Let me introduce you to one of my favorite bloggers Cathe Holden of Just Something I Made .
Cathe is a prolific creative blogger who offers up amazing, affordable projects with every day items that are easy to find. Unlike Martha Stewart - you don't have to locate " 10 small ass hairs from a newt spun into thread" to make a good craft.
The genius of Cathe is that she also offers free image downloads to make your project look spectacular even if you are an amateur crafter. That spool up top is from her now famous Advent Calendar . This year she updated it with a down loadable label set to make and gift an Advent Kit . ( Quick and easy to make for that Thanksgiving hostess gift!)
Looking for a special gift for the lady of the house ( or an awesome key-chain or cuff links for Dad?) Try out Cathe's post on Faux Engraved Jewelry she even provides the info on were to buy the custom - but not too expensive - stamps.
Looking for something to offer up to your favorite classroom or workplace? How about some free downloads for dressing up those hand sanitizer bottles.
A few fancy labels or storage containers for that crafter/ teacher/ unorganized friend. Cathe also blogs for S.C. Johnson Family Economics. I will tell you there is nothing more economical then personalized premade note cards.
You can check out Cathe's blog *here*, Cathe's DIY page FULL of great ideas *here* and Cathe's S.C. Johnson Family Economics blog *here*. She also offers custom monograms ( yet another great gift idea) in her Etsy Shop . Anywhere you find her you can't go wrong!
Here are a few of my favorite DIY posts !
2. Vintage Globe Bowl and Glitter Pins
3. Custom Poker Chips - Great advertising for all you Etsy sellers!
I could go on and on - there isn't a stinker in the bunch! This lady could seriously write a book. What's your favorite? Are you making many of your gifts this year - tell me I won't squeal! : )
Happy Friday - don't forget to jump on The Bus tomorrow for our Inspiration color reveal. You can join in and read the details here.
Many thanks to Cathe Holden for the use of her photo's and for driving The Bus today : )
