I know, I know...I am gone a few months then BAM!
I show up in a bad hat.
Lord we have been busy.
I'll post some updated pictures soon.
We've been remodeling, remodeling, remodeling!
Anyway since I am a craft whore and will try anything once
my success with scarf knitting made me hungry for
It made me greedy ...envisioning hats, socks and all sorts of knitted finery.
Of course my actual lack of skills never entered my mind.
So I bought a few hand looms thinking,
HOW HARD COULD THIS BE???
...Buy a loom they said...
.....it will be fun they said...
Looks good right?
Looks sort of successful?
Looks like I know what I am doing?
Looks like a Medievil torture device to me!
Of course my measuring techniques were rudimentary at best.
( I figured the loom fit over my head -
so the hat would fit over my head)
...otherwise known as the LFOMH/HFOMH method...
Which by the way is obviously NOT
the way to measure knitted items.
The yarn is so thick and tension so tight
it will shoot off the head
of anyone attempting to wear it.........
perhaps I should be contacting the Pentagon.
It does fit one of our dogs.
A roll of toilet paper.
...or a small coffee cup.
So much disappointment
in such a small package.
So much of visions of hats dancing in my head.
I thought of donating it but had visions of injuring some poor unsuspecting toddler....
Back to the drawing board!
Hope this finds you well! Patty
